Crosstown Meals on Wheels

At Crosstown Meals on Wheels, representing Edina, Richfield, and Southwest Minneapolis we not only serve seniors and those with disabilities by delivering nutritious meals, we also provide a check in with them to see how they are doing. Some clients are homebound and don't regularly have contact with others, our volunteer drivers provide a needed break from the isolation.  

Many of our clients wish to stay living in their homes but find it difficult when they can't to shop for groceries or stand long enough to prepare a meal. A survey recently reported that 92% of clients receiving Meals on Wheels report that this service has allowed them to stay longer in their homes, instead of having to move to a nursing home.
