Help Seniors in the Community!
East Side Elders needs your help to keep seniors fed, healthy, and supported during the COVID-19 crisis. Here are just a few ways we are helping seniors get through this pandemic:
Our clients are resilient and fiercely independent, and it is our mission to help them remain in their homes safely, with independence and dignity throughout this crisis, and beyond. With your help, we will continue to work with our seniors to bring them the resources and support they need.
East Side Elders helps seniors in Dayton’s Bluff, Payne-Phalen, and Conway-Battle Creek live full and rewarding lives — in the home and community they want — for as long as possible. Our teams of volunteers, students and community members provide a wide range of services and activities that give the necessary support and resources to our older neighbors wherever they call home.
The programs and services we offer include rides provided by volunteers, friendly visits for seniors looking for someone to talk to, Wellness Clinics where seniors can have their vital signs checked, help with raking and yard cleanup, social events, and more.
Keeping our seniors healthy and safe in their homes is a key component of our mission. Clients let us know if they need help bathing, doing chores or keeping track of their finances and we can arrange a volunteer or if more skilled services are required, help them find the resources they need.
East Side Elders is a member of the Living at Home Network. For over twenty-five years, non-profit, community-owned Living at Home/Blog Nurse Programs have helped elders stay healthy while living in their own homes.
