One Day. One Earth. One Minnesota.

Stronger together for Minnesota's future.
One gift, eleven impacts

On Earth Day, let’s unite and act. On this one day, together we can help protect and restore our one Earth in our one Minnesota in our own communities.

On April 22, eleven Minnesota environmental nonprofits are once again coming together for One Day, One Earth, One Minnesota — a collaborative Earth Day fundraiser rooted in care, connection, and collective action. Together, the organizations aim to raise $100,000 to support hands-on environmental work happening in communities across the state.

Minnesota is a place where people show up for one another. We value clean water, healthy soil, thriving neighborhoods, and outdoor spaces where everyone can belong. This Earth Day, these eleven organizations are inviting Minnesotans to invest in what sustains us — our lakes and rivers, our prairies and forests, and the communities that call this place home.

This effort is grounded in a simple idea: when we work together, we’re stronger. Rather than competing for support, these organizations are collaborating — recognizing that environmental challenges are interconnected, and so are the solutions. A single gift supports work happening in classrooms and community gardens, on riverbanks and restoration sites, at the Capitol and in neighborhoods across Minnesota.

Every donation will directly support tangible, local efforts such as protecting Minnesota's waterways, restoring local habitat, advancing environmental justice, creating change through courts and legislations, collaborating for complex environmental problems, addressing climate challenges in your community, and nurturing experiential learning.

In uncertain times, where we place our energy matters. This campaign is about choosing care — for our environment and for each other. It’s about continuing the steady, everyday work of protecting the places we love and building a healthier future for all Minnesotans.

Here’s how to get involved:

1. Donate on or before April 22.

Your gift directly funds critical work across Minnesota, from safeguarding pollinators to advancing climate-resilient practices. Every dollar contributes to a healthier, more sustainable future. Early donations help build momentum and strengthen collective impact.

2. Spread the word.

Share the campaign with friends, family, and colleagues. When more people participate, our shared impact grows.

3. Volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities are available at several participating nonprofits, including Friends of the Mississippi River, Great River Greening, Huellas Latinas, Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light, and Urban Roots. Help with hands-on restoration work, cleanups, storm drain stenciling, policy/advocacy efforts, communications, and more, or join Owámniyomni Okhódayapi outside for interpretive tours.

Minnesotans know how to come together for change. This Earth Day is an opportunity to celebrate that spirit of collaboration and invest in the future we want to build — together. Whether by donating, volunteering, or sharing the campaign, everyone has a role to play in caring for our shared home.

Participating organizations include:
