Eagan Community Foundation

YOU make Eagan a better place to live, learn, work and play for all residents through your support of the Eagan Community Foundation!

Founded in 1991, the Eagan Community Foundation has raised and reinvested more than $2,000,000 in the community through its scholarship, grants, and community programs.  In 2023, the Foundation awarded over $140,000 in scholarships to 122 Eagan-area graduating high school students.  In just the last 10 years, the Foundation has distributed over $150,000 in grants to over 40 different community organizations. The Foundation also initiates and sponsors community events to address local needs and bring Eagan residents, businesses, and organizations together.

Since 2019, Eagan youth have evaluated grant applications, discussed community issues in Eagan, and worked as groups to distribute funding to area nonprofits. Your gift will help address community needs while also providing valuable training for youth philanthropists along the way.

WHAT OUR YOUTH SAY ABOUT THE YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE

~We got to experience a really unique way to give back to the community and an opportunity to use my voice in decision making processes.

~We learned more about the issues surrounding our community and what people can do to help.

~We got to learn and practice some decision-making and discussion techniques. 

~We gained valuable lessons on listening and contributing and some decision making strategies that will help me out in the future.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on scholarship donations and financial sponsorships to support our programs; we are a 501(c)(3) entity and contributions are tax deductible.
