Our mission is to connect Art and Community. Your support makes a difference!

Dakota Center for the Arts (DCA), made up of a board of volunteers, has a long history of connecting arts and community by working toward our following organizational goals:

1. Support local artists;

2. Provide free art experiences for the public;

3. Contribute to arts education initiatives.

To meet these goals, DCA hosts the annual Eagan Art Festival (celebrating 32 years in June 2026!), participating in local events like Eagan Art Block, offering scholarships towards arts education for high school seniors, and funding art classes at the Eagan Art House. 

The 32nd Annual Eagan Art Festival, June 20 - 21, 2026 will showcase 80+ artists featuring  10+ mediums, interactive artist demonstrations for the whole family, a kids scavenger hunt, and musical entertainment! More information about this annual festival can be found at (link) Eagan Art Festival.

The college art scholarships are provided to high school students going into the arts. More information about these scholarships and applications can be found at (link) Eagan Community Foundation. We want to congratulate 2025 recipients, Kaiya Daley and Ethan Schumacker!

DCA also assists in future family art nights at the Eagan Art House, volunteer support for other organizations, and is active in the September Eagan Art Block, hosted by the Eagan Art House. More information about art classes and the Eagan Art Block can be found at (link) Eagan Art House.

2. College Scholarships for Eagan high school seniors.  Seniors planning to go into an arts related profession are encouraged to apply through the Eagan Community Foundation.  Applications are available in the late winter, www.eaganfoundation.org
