Door of Hope is helping people.

For women, men and children, Door of Hope offers Support Groups, Licensed Counseling, Prayer Ministry and Conferences. There are an overwhelming number of people asking for help.  This year we have held over 60 support groups with many of them being virtual. We now have participants coming to us from 9 different countries and 35 U.S. States and the area continues to expand. The need for our services continues to grow, yet only 32% of participants can afford to pay.  We welcome everyone regardless of their ability to pay.  Please help us provide for these dear ones who need Jesus' healing.

A recent support group participant said,”I've lost count of how many times I have wished to take my own life and how many times I've tried, but through Authentic Hope, I found Jesus again.”

New in 2022

We welcomed Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Jason Kell, to our staff this year. He leads our Hope Filled Kids Support Group as well as offering individual therapy sessions for men, women and children.

This year Door of Hope is holding 3 conferences in various locations, with 2 coming up yet this Fall. November 5th will be our Hope Builders Conference for Equipping Leaders, in Blaine, MN. December 5 will be our workshop, Building Joy in Ourselves and Others in Mankato, MN. Both are open to all. Registration information can be found on our website.

We continue to expand our partnerships with churches and other nonprofit organizations in Minnesota and around the world.  In 2021 our first groups were launched in a West Virginia penitentiary. Diane Stores co-facilitated this ground-breaking opportunity over Zoom for incarcerated women.  The chaplain in charge of the program has plans for all West Virginia incarcerated women and men to participate in Authentic Hope groups. We are in process of recording a video curriculum for the Authentic Hope support groups for women and men. The video curriculum will allow those in prisons and elsewhere to be reached with these tools for healing.

Door of Hope is a worldwide ministry and our reach has continued to expand. In 2022, we have had the opportunity to minister to leaders from the Ukraine, India and Zimbabwe.

One of our participants said, “My father is a Hindi priest and I am the only Christian in my Hindi community.  For the first time since becoming a Christian, I don’t feel alone.”

Help Us Bring Hope

Less time fundraising means more time for direct ministry.

Your gift will help us raise up more leaders that will be equipped by us to offer the help that Door of Hope has been called by God to do and what we excel at.  All of our leadership staff leads support groups and trauma healing prayer counseling sessions.  Continue to pray for more leaders to be raised up to continue this precious work Jesus has called us to do.

Founder of Door of Hope

Diane Stores, President

In 1991, Door of Hope Founder and Global Director, Diane Stores, lived with her husband and children on the west coast. For 23 years, she had endured abuse at the hands of her husband. Desperate for a way out, she secretly packed the kids into their car and escaped to Minnesota, where her parents lived.

Diane arrived in Minnesota with an empty tank, $1 in her pocket, and "Help me!" in her heart.  God used those days to plant a seed in Diane's heart...

Once she became independent and strong enough spiritually and emotionally, Diane set out to help other women needing support. In 1998 she founded one of the first Christian domestic abuse shelters in the United States. And in 2012 she founded Door of Hope, with the vision to minister globally to those affected by abuse and trauma.

In the summer of 2016, God gave us a ministry center...

Since then, Door of Hope has served more than 2000 men, women, and families at the center through support groups, classes, counseling, and leadership training. We've also reached hundreds more through conferences and workshops.

We know Jesus is not done, though, as the Prince of Peace is directing us to expand so that He can answer the prayers of the woman in Mexico and India, the man in California, the young adult in England...

Today, Diane's family is a living testament to the healing God brings to generations when one person steps out in faith for their family.

Diane knows it firsthand, and we see it every day at Door of Hope: Together, through God's love and power, families can be transformed for generations, bringing His love and joy to the world.

Will You Help One More Family?   Thank you! Bless you!

Key Verse: There I will give back her vineyards to her and transform her Valley of Troubles into a Door of Hope.  Hosea 2:15a (Living Bible)
