Door of Hope is helping lead the effort to bring God's healing from trauma resulting from abuse and neglect to people around the world, one person at a time.

Our Mission, “Through God's power, Door of Hope equips people all over the world to live free from abuse and trauma through safe housing, educational workshops and conferences, support groups, trauma recovery counseling, and trauma recovery prayer ministry.”

Door of Hope is helping people heal.
The number of people asking for help has greatly increased in the past 4 years. In addition, more than half of our participants cannot afford our service fees. Our heart is to never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Your support is instrumental in helping us continue to provide full or partial scholarships for those who need help. Please help us provide for these dear ones who need Jesus' healing.

In 2024 we held 44 support groups with many of them being virtual. We now have participants coming to us from 12 different countries and 38 U.S. States and the area continues to expand.

A support group participant said, "I've lost count of how many times I have wished to take my own life and how many times I've tried, but through Authentic Hope (support group), I found Jesus again.”

Founder of Door of Hope

Diane Stores, President

In 1991, Door of Hope Founder and Global Director, Diane Stores, lived with her husband and children on the West Coast. For 23 years, she had endured abuse at the hands of her husband. Desperate for a way out, she secretly packed the kids into their car and escaped to Minnesota, where her parents lived.

Diane arrived in Minnesota with an empty tank, $1 in her pocket, and "Help me!" in her heart.  God used those days to plant a seed in Diane's heart...

Once she became independent and strong enough spiritually and emotionally, Diane set out to help other women needing support. In 1998 she founded one of the first Christian domestic abuse shelters in the United States. And in 2012 she founded Door of Hope, with the vision to minister globally to those affected by abuse and trauma.

In the summer of 2016, God gave us a ministry center...

Since then, Door of Hope has served more than 4000 men, women, and families at the center through support groups, classes, counseling, and leadership training. We've also reached hundreds more through conferences and workshops.

We know Jesus is not done, though, as the Prince of Peace is directing us to expand so that He can answer the prayers of the woman in Mexico and India, the man in California, the young adult in England...

Today, Diane's family is a living testament to the healing God brings to generations when one person steps out in faith for their family.

Diane knows it firsthand, and we see it every day at Door of Hope: Together, through God's love and power, families can be transformed for generations, bringing His love and joy to the world.

Will You Help One More Family?   Thank you! Bless you!
