Make a Gift and Make a Difference!

Established in 1983 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the DCTC Foundation functions as an avenue for gifts and grants that benefit the college, our academic programs, and our students.

By providing a variety of resources to students from all walks of life and our 50 various academic programs, the Foundation helps uphold the DCTC mission, which is Education for Employment.

Governed by a board of directors, with up to 18 members, the Foundation Office has generated more than $3.2 million in financial assistance for students while building a general endowment fund and establishing private endowment funds. The Foundation also accepts in-kind donations for equipment, tools, and supplies which can oftentimes be used to enhance our classrooms and shops.

Students pursuing higher education goals regularly face significant financial challenges. During a typical year, DCTC's Foundation provides financial support to more than 500 students, helping them pay for tuition, books, transportation, and unanticipated expenses.  COVID-19 has presented even greater challenges - along with learning virtually, many students face pressure to help their kids study from home, deal with reduced or loss of income, and ensure their own safety.

Your contribution—whether as a friend of the college, an alum,, or area business—gives students the chance to focus more intently on their studies, provides a vote of confidence and helps them graduate and jump-start their career. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a world of difference.

There are many ways to support the Foundation and college including:

General scholarship fund:  Dollars contributed to this account are allocated to specific programs and students by the DCTC Foundation Board and are used to provide recruitment, merit, and retention scholarships.

General equipment fund: Gifts help support student success by providing tools, equipment, and tools necessary to complete our mission of education for employment. Thanks to a leveraged equipment fund from the Minnesota legislature, each dollar raised in this fund will be matched with leveraged equipment money.

Emergency grant fund:  Dollars contributed to this account ensure students can overcome unexpected financial hurdles (i.e.: illness, loss of employment, apartment deposit, car repairs, etc.) ensuring their academic progress isn't derailed.

Whether you are a long time donor to DCTC’s Foundation or a first time contributor, your support is tremendously appreciated and important.  Checks can also be directed to the following address along with a completed Donor Form :
