Dark & Stormy Productions

Dark & Stormy seeks to enrich the community by providing artistically excellent, relevant, and thought-provoking professional productions that engage and inspire both the audience and the artists.

Recently, a supporter and patron called Dark & Stormy the "Off-Broadway" theater of the Twin Cities. You get to see the top talent in town in small spaces, telling vital, truthful, exquisitely human stories. The intimacy allows you to explore how the story moves you and connects you to the other people in the room.

The feeling of community our company creates is critical in this time of disconnection and darkness in the world. Theater shines a light into our hearts and our humanity, and it helps us to understand that we aren't alone.

None of this is possible without you.

Making theater has never been harder—or more important. As production costs continue to rise, we need your help to keep bringing exceptional theater to the stage. With each production costing about $60,000, our Give to the Max goal for 2026 is $5,000 to help support these costs. We ask you to please consider making a donation in an amount that is meaningful to you. Every contribution makes a difference in bringing our productions to life.

As we enter our 15th season, we're excited to continue bringing you dynamic, brilliant, truthful theater that connects us all.

We do theater with you, for you, and we can't do it without you.

Thank you for championing Dark & Stormy, believing in our work, and making it possible for us to continue doing what we love. We are grateful for your support!

Warm Regards,

Sara Marsh | Artistic Director
