The Dakota County Agricultural Society (DCAS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting agriculture, education, and community connection within Dakota County, Minnesota. Established in 1858, the Society owns and operates the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington and serves as the proud host of the annual Dakota County Fair, one of the largest and oldest county fairs in the state.

The Dakota County Fair is a cherished tradition that celebrates the area’s rich agricultural heritage and community spirit. Each August, thousands of visitors come together to enjoy livestock shows, 4-H and FFA exhibits, educational displays, entertainment, food, and family fun.

In addition to the annual fair, the fairgrounds host several community events throughout the year, including markets, festivals, fundraisers, and gatherings that bring people of all ages together. These events help strengthen community ties and provide a welcoming space for celebration and connection.

Through its efforts, the Dakota County Agricultural Society remains committed to preserving agricultural traditions, supporting youth development, and ensuring the fairgrounds continue to serve as a vibrant hub for the entire community.
