We reduce cultural and linguistic barriers that lead to health disparities and offer comprehensive medical care and health education.

Crown Medical Center (CMC) opened its first clinic in April of 2005 in downtown Minneapolis with the desire to bridge the gap in healthcare service disparities, particularly for minorities and immigrants.

In April 2008, Crown Medical Center opened an additional clinic site in Brooklyn Park—a sprawling Twin Cities suburb home to about 90,000 medically underserved residents. Crown Medical Center’s clinics in Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park are strategically located to offer comprehensive quality care to the underserved, including an estimated 80,000+ West Africans and African Americans that reside in these two key geographical areas of the Twin Cities.

Crown Medical Support Services (CMSS) was established in 2007 as the nonprofit entity to provide medical services and educational outreach to the uninsured, and underinsured, who cannot pay for those services in the mainstream clinic.

Since its inception about 6 years ago, Crown Medical Center clinics and CMSS have offered medical services, preventive health education, and health screening services to over 10,000 Minnesotans.

CMSS provides medical support services and preventive health education outreach services to uninsured residents of the greater Twin Cities.  In collaboration with Crown Medical Center, CMSS offers educational support pertinent to urgent care, primary care, preventive care, laboratory and diagnostic services for a wide variety of disease conditions.
