Create life-changing opportunities with Crossing Arts

These days, many in our community feel disconnected and uninspired. Children often lack important fine-motor skills and access to the tools they need to improve them. For many living in the rural areas of our region, finding arts events and opportunities can be difficult.For more than 20 years, Crossing Arts has been there, providing these life-changing opportunities.

Our gallery exhibitions and workshops bring people together to enjoy a shared artistic interest, help conversations and connections bloom, and provide a chance to see another's perspective.

Kids learn how to use tools and exercise creative thinking skills when they explore our Creativity Kits or in-person classes.  

Visitors marvel over the local artwork in the Gift Shop. 

But these powerful programs are not guaranteed. 

A major challenge Crossing Arts has faced in recent years is the loss of charitable gambling revenue, totaling about $40,000 per year. (In 2022, the owner of our charitable gambling site changed hands, and building relationships with a new corporate entity has been challenging.)

If we are to truly fill this funding gap, we need your support today. We need people like you, who believe in the power of the arts to build community and enhance our quality of life.

Your Give to the Max Day gift will:

• Help fill the revenue gap created by the loss of charitable gambling revenue.
• Put high quality "real" art materials in our Creativity Kits so kids can have the best possible results in their art explorations and feel a sense of success that will keep them engaged.
• Give teens a safe and inspiring place to play and learn after school, under the care of a skilled and supportive teaching artist, through weeknight workshop opportunities. 
• Reduce or eliminate workshop registration fees where possible so everyone has a chance to learn and build skills in our art education classes. 
• Beautifully display artists’ work in our Gift Shop so artists can earn an income from their passion and visitors can find one-of-a-kind pieces that will bring them joy for years to come.
• Bring diverse local and regional art exhibits and artist talks to our gallery that inspire and provoke thought and conversation.
• Beautify our public spaces through more community public art projects.

Our Board of Directors, Staff, and Volunteers work hard to make sure that everyone has access to the arts, but with rising costs and increased demand for our services, we need your help to make it possible.
