Ready for K

Due to our amazing supporters, we have been able to create a comprehensive activity guide to help all families get ready for Kindergarten. We believe all caregivers want their children to succeed and that accurate and accessible information makes a huge difference. 

Art Book Cart

Crooked Zipper has created a mobile tool, Art Book Cart (ABC), to engage communities with literature through art. ABC was created as a hands-on alternative to traditional book clubs. We believe literacy can and should be fun and engaging. 

Groups who hire the services of ABC choose a book or book series, and we organize an event which includes hands-on arts and literacy projects, discussion questions, and extension activities based on the book or series. Groups can also host book art events events where ABC leads hands-on activities utilizing damaged books to make new paper, prints, envelopes, and folded book art. Excellent for youth and adult book clubs, school/organization literacy nights, library events, art making events, and festivals.

Literacy Nonprofit Partnership 

We love to offer our Art Book Cart events to local literacy nonprofits. These nonprofits are already doing great work by helping people learn to read and getting free books to folks who need them. We are increasing their engagement potential while offering our services to them for free.
