Life Link III

Rapid Response. Exceptional Care.

Our Work

For over 37 years, Life Link III has been the premier air medical transport service in our region, highlighted by demonstrated clinical excellence, a superior aviation program, and reliable response in providing care to critically ill or injured patients. With a commitment to innovative solutions that deliver the highest quality to those we serve, our work sets the standard for what is best practice in the air medical industry. We represent 10 major health systems and over 70 health care facilities across Minnesota and Wisconsin, serving as an extension of our partners to ensure the continuum of care for patients and communities. Always making safety our priority, our diverse fleet of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft feature the most state-of-the-art aviation equipment while we provide the most advanced critical care available on board any aircraft.

Your Impact

A gift to Life Link III supports the more than 3,500 air medical transports we provide throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin annually. Your generosity helps us stand ready to answer the call with dependable resources and effective solutions that focus on doing what is best for the patient, including:

  • Point of care lab testing, point of care ultrasound, IV fluid/blood warmers, whole blood, plasma, LUCAS chest compression devices, Hamilton T-1 Ventilators, and Zoll X-series monitors on each aircraft.
  • Night Vision Goggles (RW), Helicopter Terrain Avoidance Warning Systems, GPS, satellite weather and continuous operational center control tracking to help create the highest margin of safety on every flight.
  • Specialty transports, such as ECMO or balloon pumps, as well as exclusive air medical transportation services for the region's five leading Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU).
  • An advanced Communication Center & Operations Control Center, available 24/7, to coordinate the most effective and safe service.
  • Mobile app for first responders and hospitals to request aircraft in one step, improving launch times through communication efficiency.
  • Collaborations with leading research institutions and universities to drive innovation and improvement.

What Dollars Do

$50 can cover the cost of a safety vest for a pilot, paramedic, or nurse at a trauma scene.

$100 supplies one unit of plasma, a life-saving blood product used in a multitude of clinical scenarios, that can be administered in flight.

$500 provides a respirator mask that our crews can use to protect them from contagious airborne diseases.

$2,000 allows us to draw real time labs in flight that help with clinical decision making aimed at what is best for each patient.
