The CREW Urban Youth Equestrians is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2021. We provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where BIPOC* youth in St. Paul & Minneapolis, Minnesota discover confidence and power in themselves through horses.

*We use the term “BIPOC” for those who identify as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color. We acknowledge that BIPOC is an umbrella term, and not how many in our communities would identify themselves. We encourage and respect each person’s right to identify their nationality and gender.

At The CREW Urban Youth Equestrians, our students are welcomed with empathy, compassion and love. We provide a multi-layered experiential learning model where students learn horse husbandry, anatomy and natural horsemanship skills starting on the ground and progressing through to ridden work. Youth are encouraged to trust themselves and their choices as they develop the emotional and technical skills needed to become successful with the horses and in life.
