The Compassion Connection exists to support children and teens in foster care—and the families who step up to love them—across Sherburne County and the surrounding region.

When children enter foster care, they often arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Many come with trauma, fear, and belongings in a trash bag. We step into that moment with dignity, stability, and hope.

We provide practical essentials, emotional support, and community connection so that caregivers can focus on what matters most: helping children heal.

Through our Compassion Boutique, Day-One Placement Packages, support groups for caregivers, crisis-response help, and seasonal programs like Easter baskets, school supplies, and Christmas gifts, we walk alongside families from the day a child arrives until long after.

We receive no government funding—our entire mission is sustained by generous individuals, businesses, churches, and volunteers who believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved.

Your support helps us:

  • Provide dignity: new clothing, shoes, winter gear, hygiene items
  • Support caregivers: meals, encouragement, support groups, respite
  • Equip social workers: agency partnerships and crisis response
  • Create belonging: events, holiday programs, and relational support
  • Serve more kids than ever—1,000+ already in 2025

When you give, you stand in the gap for a child in a hard place. You remind them: “You are seen. You are valued. You are loved.”
