Last year, Joe joined the Community Construction program. He wanted to join a local trade union, but was struggling with meeting requirements and navigating the process to get in. While in Community Construction, he obtained he certificate in basic carpentry, completed a variety of other trainings, and built his soft skills like communication. He also worked with a coach to get his driver's license and GED.
When Joe left the program, he was accepted into the trade union he wanted and is currently working for a local construction company. He loves his work and he is able to support his family.
