Community Table MN

Hi everyone! We are Community table, a new non profit in Elk River. Our mission is to serve our community both physically and relationally. We do this by providing a free monthly meal for everyone. We have neighbors serving neighbors; which gives everyone a Sunday night off and a safe space to reconnect with their friends and family.

We believe through providing a meal and loving interaction, we will help to build up individuals and families. We seek to not only meet their need to be fed physically but we would help them to know they are loved and not alone. We believe this is a two way relationship where both those being served and those serving, grow together as a community. Community Table will be a place where we learn from one another and seek to make our community a healthy and safe environment. We seek to empower those we serve and those who serve to grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually to build a healthy community.

OUR WHY

In the world today, people are hungry for real relationships.  After a decade of technology and social media becoming the conduit for human connection, society, by and large, is starving for personal interaction and a desire to experience community.

As human beings, we were designed for relationships. We need each other. But through a slow decline of social interactions and an ever-increasing busyness in our modern-day lives, people are experiencing devastating levels of depression, anxiety, broken families, and a lack of mentoring relationships; causing the general public to feel alone and disconnected. At Community Table, we believe that by coming together to serve one another and interact with those from our local businesses, churches, other non-profits, and school organizations, we can begin to establish a network of support and community that will promote healthy and thriving individuals and families. No other mental health intervention is as healing and nurturing to the soul as serving and loving one another. It’s time to restore a deep and bonding unity within the human race, and it begins in our local community. Join us, every 4th Sunday of the month for food, friendship, and neighborly love.

Everyone is welcome at our table, each and every one of you has something to offer our community or neighbors that nobody else does....you are all equally and uniquely valuable and we would love for you to bring those skills and talents to our cause!
