Community Justice Investigations

Community Justice Investigations (CJI) is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides investigative services to individuals who lack the resources to support a fair defense to a significant crime they have been charged with in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area. 

CJI was founded by a person who observed that too often innocent individuals, unable to pay for a proper investigation into the charges, plead guilty to get a reduced sentence. As a result they are unjustly incarcerated, when a simple review of the case would have uncovered the facts that would have helped get the charges dropped. 

Community Justice Investigations work toward economic and social justice for individuals living in the Twin Cities by documenting facts to support defense attorneys as they work on behalf of their clients. Investigators find witnesses, review surveillance videos, and access police documents to help build a complete story for the defense of the accused.

Regardless of guilt or innocence, everyone deserves a proper, thorough, and complete investigation.
