CLS provides Walk-In services.

1. We assess immediate needs for access to food sources, clothing, personal and household items.
2. Provide information and referrals to a variety of services.
3. Assist with personal paperwork and applications, as well as navigating difficult systems including Social Security and EBT-Food Stamps.
4. Provide translation services.
5. Provide caring conversations and assist with encouragement for individuals to develop and work toward personal goals.

It can be a difficult and stressful process to navigate the healthcare application system. Even more difficult when you are mistrusting of the providers due to familial trauma. The participant and Certified Family Development Specialist worked together as a team.  He did very well while speaking with the various professionals and asked many appropriate questions. This process appeared to help him gain confidence and having support lowered his stress level.  Our efforts were successful! He is now able to choose providers and start making appointments for long, overdue medical, dental and vision updates!
