Accessible, transformative, entertaining classical theater

Thank you!
Classical Actors Ensemble continues to grow, and it would not be possible without your support! Our plans for 2023 include extending our commitment to performing early modern drama, to bringing vital productions directly to area communities, to providing accessibly-priced live theater, and to supporting area students, educators, and education.

In 2022, we took our Shakespeare in Our Schools tour of Romeo and Juliet directly to schools, visited 15 different area parks with our free Shakespeare in Our Parks production of Love's Labor's Lost, and wrapped up the season with a powerful version of Shakespeare's tale of tragic love, Othello.

We have a great season for 2023 shaping up and we look forward to sharing details with you about it over the winter. With your support we will continue bringing English Renaissance plays to life as popular entertainment for both the public and schools!

"This is how Shakespeare was meant to be seen--playful, immediate, approachable, and accessible to all."  – Cherry and Spoon

"The show [Chaste Maid] is jam-packed with juicy performances woven together through precise comic pace and timing.  If you’ve never been to a CAE show you may be pleasantly struck by the winning combination of a relaxed atmosphere and an array of first rate actors who really and truly know the classical acting craft and how to make it accessible." – Lavender Magazine

"Go. See them. Classical Actors Ensemble hasn’t just dusted off these old classics.  They’ve reinvented them." – TC Daily Planet

"Our language has changed quite a bit since 1613, but our sense of humor clearly has not." – Aisle Say
