At Christ Church Preschool, we prepare children for kindergarten and teach them the love of Jesus. Our dedication to quality education is proven by our Parent Aware quality rating. By the time a child completes our preschool program, they will have the skills they need to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
We believe that young children learn through play and exploration. Every week, our Learning Centers are equipped with toys and materials that allow kids to explore a new unit of study. The teachers are alongside the kids playing with them and prompting them with questions about what they see and do.
Our teachers gather the children together for group time to learn about the calendar and weather. She will read them a story, sing a song, and recite a poem. During this time, kids are also learning to sit still and follow the teacher's directions.
During snack time, kids taste healthy foods, use table manners, pour their own milk, and clean up after themselves. The teacher uses this time to teach them the letter, shape, color, number, and sight-word of the week.
Kids get exercise out on the playground during large motor time. On rainy days, kids will play games using large motor skills.
Christ Church Preschool's approach is based upon the Bible and teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We introduce concepts of faith through prayer, daily Bible stories, holiday celebrations, and our actions. Our teachers pray with the children before snack. They also pray for children and families when there is a known need. The preschool staff strives to live out our faith in our daily lives to positively influence the world around us.
Every year, we have a major fundraiser to meet our annual budget. This year, the fundraiser is especially important because enrollment is much lower than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Give today to help a child learn and grow in Jesus!
