Child's Place

At Child’s Place, we believe every child deserves safety, healing, and hope.

As a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), we walk alongside children and caregivers facing the unimaginable.  Instead of navigating multiple systems on their own, families come to one welcoming location where professionals work together to provide hope, healing, and protection. CACs coordinate forensic interviews, advocacy, mental health referrals, and multidisciplinary team services—all designed to reduce stress on families and ensure a compassionate, trauma-informed response.

Child’s Place serves children and families in Southwest Minnesota who have experienced or are suspected to have experienced sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, witness domestic violence or other traumatic events. We support children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, as well as their non-offending caregivers. Our team provides a safe space for children to share their experiences, connects families with vital resources, and collaborates with law enforcement, child protection, medical providers, and mental health partners to ensure each child receives the care and protection they need.
