The Center for Hmong Arts & Talent (CHAT) is the only multidisciplinary Hmong arts organization in the world.

Our mission is to nurture, explore and illuminate the Hmong American experience through artistic expressions.

CHAT envisions a vibrant community where Hmong American artists are inspired to share their perspectives, valued for their creative contributions, and empowered to challenge life’s boundaries.

Your tax-deductible donation helps us provide quality arts education, activities and opportunities for HmongAmerican children and youth; foster the advancement of emerging and experienced Hmong American artistsand; build audiences for the arts by creating and producing art that significantly enhances understanding bothwithin the Hmong community as well as cross-culturally.

The state of Minnesota is home to approximately 65,000 Hmong (out of a total of 250,000-300,000 in the U.S.), and nearly 70% live in the city of St. Paul. Being the only multi-disciplinary Hmong arts organization in the country, CHAT has the very unique opportunity and responsibility of nurturing and developing Hmong artists to enhance the community.
