The Center for Hmong Arts & Talent (CHAT) is the only multidisciplinary Hmong arts organization in the world.

Our mission is to nurture, explore and illuminate the Hmong American experience through artistic expressions.

CHAT envisions a vibrant community where Hmong American artists are inspired to share their perspectives,valued for their creative contributions, and empowered to challenge life’s boundaries. 

Your tax-deductible donation helps us provide quality arts education, activities and opportunities for HmongAmerican children and youth; foster the advancement of emerging and experienced Hmong American artistsand; build audiences for the arts by creating and producing art that significantly enhances understanding bothwithin the Hmong community as well as cross-culturally. 

The state of Minnesota is home to approximately 65,000 Hmong (out of a total of 250,000-300,000 in the U.S.), and nearly 70% live in the city of St. Paul. Being the only multi-disciplinary Hmong arts organization in the country, CHAT has the very unique opportunity and responsibility of nurturing and developing Hmong artists to enhance the community. CHAT uses art to communicate and as a catalyst for understanding.
