Chaska Valley Family Theatre Inc

Since 1995, Chaska Valley Family Theatre (CVFT) has delighted audiences with live theater featuring talented amateur performers, with an emphasis on family participation.

Dear CVFT Supporter, 

In the 28 years since Chaska Valley Family Theatre was created, we’ve held over 600 performances of over 80 different productions, playing to a total audience of more than 100,000 patrons. For each of those productions, we typically have in excess of 100 people participating in some capacity, whether it be on stage, in the orchestra, backstage, or in front of house activities.  We've had people involved who have rediscovered their forgotten theater skills, and others who have discovered new by learning and growing through their involvement in CVFT.  There are even those who started with us as children and have gone on to pursue successful careers in theater.

Success does not come easily.  It takes dedication and hard work.  We are deeply indebted to all those who have helped make the past 28 years possible through their time, talents, and unending dedication to our organization.  We’re also thankful to our partners like District 112, City of Chaska Parks & Recreation, our local newspapers and businesses, and other arts organizations who have nurtured us and helped us grow. We have done it together – as a true community.

We are also thankful for our donors.  Without you, Chaska Valley Family Theatre would not be in the strong position we are in today.  Because of our dedicated supporters, we’ve had the ability to make investments in new sound and musical equipment.  We’ve been able to start new initiatives, like funding ASL-interpreted performances to expand our reach to the deaf and hard of hearing.  And we’re able to hold low-cost performances for students and seniors - people who may not otherwise get the chance to experience the joy of live theater.
