As our ancestors would say, "Vitame vas!" (We welcome you!)

Our purposes include promoting genealogical research, and creating an interest in ancestry and heritage among descendants of ethnic groups who comprised the former nation of Czechoslovakia, including Bohemian (Czech), German-Bohemian (Bohmisch), Hungarian, Moravian, Ruthenian (Rusyn), Silesian, Slovakian, and those of Jewish ancestry.

We publish the Nase Rodina ("Our Family"), a wonderful quarterly historical and cultural magazine on themes of genealogical significance.

We sponsor quarterly program meetings (generally in Minnesota), and symposiums and conferences in various locations. CGSI members are found across the USA and in several other countries.
