School Theatre Program Seeking Donations to Support Students and Scholarships

Centennial Theatre is seeking donations to support our students and scholarships for those who will be pursuing theatre beyond high school.

Your donation will help us to continue to provide a high-quality theatre education experience for all students, regardless of their financial background.

Our theatre program is an inclusive space where students can learn and grow in the performing arts.

We offer a variety of classes and productions, and our students have the opportunity to develop their creativity, confidence, and teamwork skills. We offer a well-rounded approach to theater: Improv, One-Act, Speech, Fall Play, Spring Musical, Apeiron On Stage (for Actors with Special Needs), Centennial Alumni Summer Stock Theatre - Shakespeare, and Centennial Youth Theatre for elementary-aged students (Summer Camp). We allow our students to use their talents in student directing the fall play and the spring musical at the middle school, assisting at improv and speech at the middle school, being involved in set crew, booth crew, makeup crew, and costume crew at both schools. Our students start theatre in 6th grade and are with the same directors through their entire middle and high school theatre careers. This allows the students and directors to build a rapport with each other.

Your donation will help us to:

  • Provide students with access to quality costumes, props, sets, and equipment.
  • Fund scholarships for students who will be pursuing theatre beyond high school.
  • Support our students' professional development by offering workshops and masterclasses with industry professionals.
  • Make our program more accessible to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds.

No donation is too small. Every dollar we receive will help us to make a difference in the lives of our students.

Here are some specific examples of how your donation will be used:

  • A donation of $50 could help us to keep our Aperion On Stage program free to families of students with special needs.
  • A donation of $100 could help us to fund a scholarship for a deserving student or help a student with a financial hardship.
  • A donation of $250 could help us to purchase new equipment for our set design and props crew; OR purchase and rent costumes for our upcoming production.
  • A donation of $500 could help us to bring in a guest speaker or teacher to offer a workshop or masterclass for our students who are involved in Theatre Beyond.

Theater plays an important role in the lives of our children.

Please help us keep this program alive for not just them, but for our entire community. When the children participate in theater, the community at large benefits from all that they learn.
