WELCOME TO CARDBOARD CARES

We are a 501(c)(3) organization in the Alexandria, MN helping local area businesses with their cardboard recycling needs, and in turn, giving back to the community by providing art supplies for children and supporting art educators in our area. It is a win-win for our community!

This year we gave away about 500 art kits with watercolor pencils, sketchbook, paper, pencil, sharpener and eraser to kids attending our pop-up art classes and community events. This year we also launched a pilot grant program for local art teachers to financially help them with their limited school budgets so they don’t pay out of their own pocket to teach to their best ability. Through these means, we are providing art education opportunities to kids who really are craving more in depth art experiences. 

Your contribution helps pay for kids art supplies and supports art teachers as continue to work hard recycling cardboard and save for a permanent visual art center location. Thanks!
