Camp Odayin

Children with heart disease are often told to slow down or be cautious.  At camp, they build CONFIDENCE by safely trying new activities with cardiologists and nurses nearby.  They discover their bodies are capable of more than they believed and gain confidence that extends beyond camp.  This experience strengthens their ability to handle challenges, connect with others, and manage daily life.

Our campers will face stressful medical challenges throughout their lives.  At camp, we nurture RESILIENCE, giving them a skill that acts like a protective shield.  High resilience is linked to enhanced emotional well-being, greater ability to manage their own medications and health, and a higher quality of life. 

GRATITUDE, or as we say at camp “having a grateful heart”, helps children focus on the positive, reduces stress, and boosts joy and hope.
