Calliope Women's Chorus

Calliope Women's Chorus is a feminist chorus in the Twin Cities dedicated to promoting social change through song.

Calliope Women's Chorus is currently in its 49th season (2024-2025).  This year we are excited to welcome our new Artistic Director and to be growing our community again.  We're also looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the chorus in 2026!

We'd like to commission a new song for our 50th anniversary, ideally from a local feminist and/or LGBTQ+ composer, and we hope our community will support us in this effort! We're planning for a special concert to share this new work next year.

 
How can you help us prepare for the future?

 Please consider a donation of any amount to help defray the cost of these chorus expenses:

• $50 will pay for recording materials that help Calliope support singers with a variety of learning styles.
  
• $100 helps us offer sliding-scale concert tickets to our audience members. 
• $300 covers the annual participation fee for a singer who cannot afford dues, supporting our practice of welcoming all singers regardless of their ability to pay.
• $500 will significantly support our new music commission for our 50th anniversary.
