Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools resides within rural communities just 40 miles west of the Twin Cities. It’s a dynamic region full of growth and opportunities for all ages. BHM has all of the opportunities of a larger school district, within the confines of a caring small town community.

The 157 square mile area that makes up the district includes the communities of Buffalo, Hanover, Montrose and the surrounding townships. With a district population of over 32,000 residents, over 5,700 students attend 6 elementary schools (Discovery, Hanover, Montrose, Northwinds, Parkside and Tatanka), a middle school (grades 6-8), a high school and alternative high school (Phoenix Learning Center—grades 9-12), and a transitions program (PRIDE Transitions—services students ages 18-21 with special needs).

Hundreds of teachers and staff are all working towards one mission: Making a difference by preparing all students for a successful future in a changing world.

You can help make a difference by making a contribution to our district. Donations will go to help offset the purchase of supplies and equipment used to benefit student learning.
