Brownbody builds artistic experiences that disrupt biased narratives

and prompts audiences to engage as active participants in the journey.

We (are) Black. We lead as Black. We believe in blackness. We center Black and Brown communities. Steeped in Black and African diasporic ways of life and artistry, our ensemble weaves a collaborative blend of dance, figure skating, music, theater, and education. Brownbody’s artistry reimagines the ice and the stage to shape, ignite, and sustain Black folks in revolution + transformation + healing.
