Because no family should ever have to face a childhood cancer diagnosis alone.

Founded as a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in 2007 by four mothers of children with cancer, Brighter Tomorrows now serves over 240 families. We serve as an outreach of emotional, spiritual, and educational support by listening, understanding, and sharing time together. The services we provide include:

  • Monthly family gathering
  • Family networking
  • Weekend family retreats
  • Sponsorship of family events
  • Hospital visits
  • Tomorrow's Chapter-Our bereavement program for family whose child has lost his/her battle with cancer

Additionally, each  newly diagnosed family, seen by the Mayo Clinic, receives a soft-side cooler (designed to transport medications that need to be kept cool) which is filled with practical items to help them as they begin coping with a childhood cancer diagnosis.  Inside the family will find gift cards for gas, food, and parking, as well as snacks, toiletries, and thank-you notes designed by Brighter Tomorrows children.

Here's what one Brighter Tomorrows family had to say: I needed someone to talk to so I called the number on the brochure. What I heard on the other end of the line was just what I needed: 'We're here for you'
