Support programming that creates a difference in our arts communities! Your gift this giving season helps high school students from around the Twin Cities experience Minnesota High School Dance Festival (MHSDF) and the Amplified Artists Program. Your gift directly supports these programs by providing financial support for our teachers and space by offsetting the cost of admission for attending students making this experience more accessible for all. 

MHSDF fosters a space to honor the work of public high school students while giving presence and value to diversity in dance practices and performance.

Celebrating our fourth year, this annual conference brings students from all over Minnesota for a day of masterclasses and performing.  Students showcase their work in a supportive community of dancers, educators, and industry professionals. MHSDF is a safe space where students, teachers, and professionals become resources for one another by sharing knowledge, experience, and artistic practice for holistic growth of young artists. 

Borealis Dance Theatre is excited to create a space for young dance artists to find their artistic voice through the Amplified Artists Program. Under direction of Artistic Director, Danielle Ricci Cheng, this program fosters advanced dancers 16-20 years of age to train and perform original work around the Twin Cities.                      Opportunities include class, weekly choreography labs for dancers’ creative work with public showings and ensemble rehearsals lead by Cheng for performances around the Twin Cities.   

We find it important to create thoughtful programming for our community as well as provide opportunities to educate the next generation of dance artists and leaders.
