Bold North Milk Bank

The founding members of Bold North Milk Bank are breastfeeding mothers who understand that human milk access is a public health concern. Our children will grow alongside your children. We want this new generation to reach its full potential. First-food equity is critical to all children reaching their full potential. Bold North Milk Bank strives to be a community resource to help families from prenatal to postpartum in achieving human milk feeding for their babies. 

For expecting families, we plan to provide public education about breastfeeding, pumping, and human milk donation. We plan to celebrate and support your intention to feed breastmilk even before your baby arrives. We will work with existing community resources to expand support in rural Minnesota and the Dakotas. 

For families who need donor milk, we plan to provide safe, pasteurized human donor milk that meets the rigorous standards set by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, and the Food and Drug Administration. We plan to provide milk for both in-patient infants and infants who have been discharged home. We will focus on access to donor milk in communities facing health inequities. 

For families who deserve to be celebrated for their commitment to breastfeeding their own children, we will be involved in community outreach events to highlight your achievements. We invite you to become a milk donor to share your passion for infant health with vulnerable infants.
