Bloomington Youth Lacrosse Association

The mission of BYLA is to promote excellence, integrity and sportsmanship in our community.

BYLA was established in 1998 to organize and promote youth lacrosse for children living within Bloomington or attending a school within these boundaries. Due to growth in the sport and success in our efforts we've been able to offer opportunities to youth with limited financial resources and lack of program accessibility. Since our formation we have been able to expand access for boys and girls from 5 yrs. old to 2nd grade as well as our existing programs through 8th grade. The focus is to create a safe, positive and fun environment rooted in player skill development. Participants experience healthy competition where fairness, sportsmanship,discipline,honesty and team play are fostered developed and role modeled. Our underlying principles are respect for oneself, community, family, other players, coaches and teams.
