Help blood cancer patients gain one million years of life.

It’s been an exciting time at Blood Cancer United. With our powerful new name—signaling our commitment to reach even more patients and focusing on all 100+ types of blood cancer—we’re aiming toward an ambitious goal: By 2040, Blood Cancer United will enable blood cancer patients to gain more than one million years of life. We’ve made a big promise to patients, and we know we can only make good on that promise if you partner with us to sustain this incredible mission. Here are just a few examples of the work we’re doing with the support of generous donors:

  • Since 1949, we have provided more than $2 billion in funding to advance groundbreaking research conducted by blood cancer investigators and biotech companies.
  • Last year, we saw 14 new therapies approved by the FDA for blood cancer, most of which were made possible by science supported by Blood Cancer United.
  • Blood Cancer United provided nearly 34,000 financial assistance awards totaling over $8.8 million to support patients with blood cancer-related expenses last fiscal year.

Your support plays such a critical role in the lives of so many blood cancer patients. United with caring supporters like you, together we are driving breakthroughs and patient initiatives focused on the unique needs of people facing cancer.

Blood Cancer United also recognizes children are different than adults and their blood cancers need to be treated differently: A one-size treatment doesn’t fit all. So, we created The Dare to Dream Project, a bold and urgent $175 million capital campaign to transform their treatment and care. We’re daring to prioritize cutting-edge pediatric research.

In Minnesota, we're proud to have the LLS master PedAL clinical trial (pediatric acute leukemia) running at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital, Children's of Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic. Not only is this initiative global in scope, but also extremely local in order to bring the treatment to the patient rather than make the patient travel to the treatment.

We know there are so many worthy causes to consider supporting today, so we are grateful for your consideration of Blood Cancer United. Everyone deserves to see a world without blood cancers!
