Black Label Movement is a Minneapolis based contemporary dance company.

What your donation supports
Professional dance artists are among the most vulnerable creatives in these times. BLM is proud that we have been able to provide our Company Movers with modest replacement funds for work postponed due to the COVID Winter.  However, those funds are dwindling.  Your donation will go directly to support compensation lost by our Movers due to the COVID restrictions now and in the future.

What we’ve done recently:
- Our film ‘A Dream of Touch When Touch is Gone [Director’s Cut]’ has been on the world-wide film festival circuit, racking up several awards and acknowledgements
- Hosted a joint summer intensive in Minneapolis with the Limón Dance Company
- Creation of 11 solos, one on each mover
- Expanded our company with two new company movers and one new apprentice

What’s in the works:
- Our return to the stage, April 2022 at the Cowles Center in Minneapolis
- Reworking a choreographic commission on MADCO in St. Louis, to finally premiere it post-lockdown
