Support Black Business Enterprises Fund on Give to the Max Day – November 21st

Dear Friends and Allies,

On Minnesota’s biggest day of giving, we’re calling on you to stand with Black Business Enterprises Fund (BBE) as we work to address some of our community’s most pressing challenges. BBE is a grassroots, Black woman-owned nonprofit located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and designated as an Opportunity Zone. With a proven track record of impactful case management and life-changing services, we are committed to helping our community build strong, sustainable futures. But we cannot do this alone.

Empowering Through Financial Literacy, Technology Access, Homeownership Workshops, and Trauma Support

In today’s world, financial stability, technological skills, and emotional resilience are essential to success. That’s why BBE is focused on providing financial literacy classes, free credit-building and homeownership workshops, our Technology for All program, and compassionate support for women who have endured community trauma. Each of these programs is designed to meet urgent needs while laying a foundation for sustainable, generational change. Already, our workshops have helped countless community members learn the steps to homeownership and increase their credit scores – keys to long-term stability and independence.

Creating a Virtual Learning Library with Global Reach

Our ambitions extend beyond Minneapolis. We are building a Virtual Learning Library with a focus on the construction trades, providing essential training for individuals interested in a career path that promises stability and opportunity. This library will empower users locally and globally, giving anyone, anywhere, a valuable resource for skill-building and economic advancement.

Building a Legacy – One That Lasts

Your support on Give to the Max Day helps us continue and expand our work in profound ways. Together, we have the opportunity to BUILD lives and futures that create a ripple effect, strengthening communities and sparking growth. Imagine being part of an effort that brings forth something entirely new in our community – a physical and virtual haven where learning, healing, and economic empowerment converge. This advocacy and funding help us create a safe, thriving space that currently exists nowhere else nearby.

Why Now? Why We Need You

Since the tragic death of George Floyd, we’ve seen a drastic decline in both donor and volunteer support, with a 75% decrease in contributions. However, the needs of our community remain as great as ever – and we are committed to meeting those needs with integrity and impact. Our work isn’t just for today; it’s for the future, and it requires people who believe in the power of resilience and change.

Be a Part of the Change

BBE is a trustworthy, reputable organization with direct, effective programs that truly reach those who need it most. Your contribution to BBE is more than a donation – it’s an investment in a future where individuals and families can thrive, heal, and build generational wealth.

Your support can come in many forms: financial, in-kind, and volunteer. Every single contribution matters.

Join us on November 21st for Give to the Max Day. Stand with BBE and help us continue the work that will BUILD better lives and a better future for us all.

Thank you for your partnership and belief in a brighter tomorrow.
