Bethune Community School is located in the near north side of Minneapolis in the recently redeveloped Heritage Park Neighborhood.

Bethune Community School is located in the near north side of Minneapolis in the recently redeveloped Heritage Park Neighborhood. Our school is named after Mary McLeod Bethune, a United States educator, who worked to improve race relations and educational opportunities for Black Americans (1875-1955). The school serves 420 children in grades Pre-K-5. We have three Early Childhood Special
Education Autism classrooms, two K-5 Autism classrooms and two K-5 Developmental Cognitive Disability classrooms. Ninety-seven percent of the students receive free and reduced lunch.
