BCT, a non-profit corporation in a small Minnesota rural area of 12,000, provides theater access to the community at large. According to our Mission Statement, BCT provides theater education and opportunity for people to pursue their interests in theater through acting, directing, and stagecraft support activities in productions by and for community members.

Bemidji Community Theater has a number of programs in addition to our Main Stage Productions.

Newly expanded programing includes our Kidz Club has an active group of students who are learning about all aspects of the theater, from stagecraft, script writing, performance and how to audition. One of the core values of our Kidz Club is community enhancement, making sure that all of the kids are involved with community volunteerism and outreach.

Our Studio Works program provides local playwrights and directors the opportunity to bring their talents to life on the stage. A seasoned BCT director helps guide them through the creative process. From script rewrites, auditions, rehearsals, costuming, and tech to opening night, they learn the production process from start to finish to make their script come alive.

As we enter into the third year in our new home, we have made many improvements to the space. We have added stadium seating to improve the visitor experience and continue to grow our lights and sound systems. We still have many projects to complete! We are working on a new marquee for the outside of our building, which will enjoyed by our visitors as well as the Bemidji community.

We appreciate all of our sponsors and underwriters and we are grateful for our Give to the Max friends and family!
