BCT, a non-profit corporation in a small Minnesota rural area of 12,000, provides theater access to the community at large. According to our Mission Statement, BCT provides theater education and opportunity for people to pursue their interests in theater through acting, directing, and stagecraft support activities in productions by and for community members.
Three years ago, BCT purchased a building which has become the headquarters for much of its theater support activities such as rehearsals, set construction and costume and prop storage. Just before BCT's performance of Treasure Island was to open, COVID lock-down was ordered. However, the lock-down has provided us with the opportunity to do renovations on our space, including lighting upgrades, sprinkler system, and stage area. All this has resulted in a significant cost. Fortunately, we have obtained several grants to cover a good portion of the work. Now we are counting on your generosity to help us complete the work required to allow us to hold events at BCT's Performance Arts Center later this year.
