The Beautywell Project

The Beautywell Project is an organization that was founded to address the issues of colorism, skin-lightening practices and chemical exposures in the communities of color. The organization’s mission is to develop healthy individuals, families and community through education, research, empowerment, policy and systems changes. 

Our work addresses the impact of colorism on communities of color, the health and psychological. Beautywell aims to end colorism, skin-lightening practices, chemical exposures and improve the health outcomes of the impacted communities. Individuals live in a healthy lifestyle and embrace their identity and culture.

Your donation will support our work especially the Parent Wellness Program where we educate women about how colorism, skin-lightening practices and chemical exposure impacts on their health and overall well-being. The goal of the program is to empower and create safe space for women who have been experiencing colorism, self-esteem issues and the health affects that associate with exposure to toxic chemicals like mercury in the skin-lightening products.
