We are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit based out of Minnesota in the city of Brooklyn Park.

Mission: 

Banks Youth Center's mission is to lower youth violence through prevention, education, and direction. 

To help youth develop the skills necessary to succeed in today's world.

How You Can Help: 

Volunteer your time at Banks Youth Centers or other youth organisations, or shelters.

Advocate for increased funding for mental health services and support programs for troubled youth.

Be a mentor and positive role model for young people in your community.

Educate yourself and others about the challenges faced by troubled youth. 

Understanding Troubled Youth-Overcoming Challenges Together.

In today’s society many young people face various challenges and obstacles that impact their well-being and development. 

It is important for us to understand the difficulties that youth encounter and work together to support and empower them.

Common Challenges Faced By Trouble are:

1. Mental health issues: 

many youth struggle with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. It is crucial to provide them with access to mental health resources and support.

2. Substance abuse: 

Some young people turn to drugs and alcohol as a way to cope with their challenges. Substance abuse can have serious consequences on their health and future.

3. Family Problems: 

Family conflict, instability, and dysfunction can greatly impact a youth's well-being. Providing family counseling and support can help address these issues.

4. Academic Struggles: 

Youth may face difficulties in school, leading to academic underachievement and low self-esteem. Offering education and support and interventions can help them succeed academically.
