We Will Rock You...Like Never Before

This April, Ballet Co.Laboratory will raise the curtain on our most ambitious (& anticipated) artistic endeavor yet—the world premiere of Freddie: Break Free.

Nearly a decade in the making, this groundbreaking ballet explores the life of rock’s ultimate showman, Freddie Mercury. Featuring the professional dancers of Ballet Co.Laboratory performing alongside the acclaimed Queen tribute band The Crown Jewels, this production promises to be theatrical, electric, & unapologetic. 

Our recent proposal to the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), to help cover theater rental fees for Freddie: Break Free, was denied under the President’s executive order banning NEA funding to nonprofits promoting diversity, equity, & inclusion. In short, we lost crucial funding due to our commitment to tell stories like Freddie’s, which celebrates an icon who shook the world of music & shattered barriers for the queer community. 

But the show must go on. Today, we ask you to be our champion by donating in support of this production.
