Public lands and waters provide adventure, solace, and places to make memories, whether we are launching boats, hanging treestands, or sharing a campfire with family and friends. Minnesotans know the importance of our public lands, waters, and wildlife, and what's at stake when it comes to their future.

This Give to The Max Day, please consider donating to BHA and fueling our fight to protect and conserve our wild spaces and access to them.

Through boots-on-the-ground work over the last year, the Minnesota BHAChapter:

  • Fought for renewal of the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) to ensure that lottery dollars remained dedicated to natural resource funding.

  • Rallied hundreds on Public Land Owners at the state capitol to advocate for permanent protections of the Boundary Waters and other Minnesota public lands.

  • Celebrated the addition of 8,200 acres into the public trust in Northern Minnesota through the Minnesota Heritage Forest Project, for which BHA provided testimony and financial support.

  • Partnered with the Minnesota DNR to engage deer hunters and distribute testing kits to 200+ hunters statewide through our fourth year of CWD Pint Nights.

It's never been more important than right now to ensure our North American heritage of hunting and fishing on wild, public lands and waters.

Donations of $100 or more by midnight on Give to the Max Day, Nov. 20th, will receive a limited-edition First Lite/BHAhat!

Whether you’re in the woods, on the water, or our state capitol, the freedom to hunt and fish on public lands is worth fighting for. We wish you luck this fall and hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

Minnesota BHA seeks to ensure our North American heritage of hunting and fishing in a natural setting on wild, public lands and waters through education, advocacy, and boots on the ground work.

We are a statewide, grassroots, organization that works with individuals, organizations, and government to ensure future generations have the same opportunities to hunt, fish, and recreate that we have enjoyed. We also seek to expand that outdoor experience to those who may not currently access it.
