Imagine a place where real questions are not discouraged, but celebrated.  Where uncertainty isn't a weakness, but vital to the quest for wisdom.  A place where you are not told answers, but rather where your quest for answers is shared.  Our priests, while wise and wonderful, don't pretend to know the answers.  Rather, they guide us toward finding our own answer.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT ASCENSION?

The spirit of openness that we bring to Sunday services, programs, and activities allow for authentic dialogue.  It creates a safe place for exploring what we believe, what gives us hope, and what faith looks like for us, as individuals. We steward a beautiful historic building in which to worship and connect in, featuring unique elements like Tiffany stained glass windows and a Dobson organ. 

IN SERVICE TO OTHERS

Ascension and individual members of our community are engaged outside the walls of our church and actively involved in the life of the Stillwater area community and beyond. We are called to feed the hungry, cloth the naked, shelter the homeless, and visit those that are sick or in prison. It's increasingly and critically important to conserve, protect and restore our riverways and wildlands. Ascension has roots across in the Twin Cities.  Many mission committees provide our members with opportunities to get involved in social, racial, and environmental justice activities.
