Alliance For Greater Equity

For 5 years, AGE has been building bridges, connecting cultures, and empowering community members. 

EVERY VOICE is this year’s fundraising campaign to celebrate our accomplishments, continue the work we’ve started, and expand our reach in the Owatonna area.

Alliance for Greater Equity started with a band of community members identifying the need to celebrate diversity, continue learning, and helping our neighbors feel connected and welcomed into our community. Since then, we have started a tradition of community events honoring heritage and celebrating culture, hosted training presentations to expand awareness and learning about DEI and listened to the needs of the underrepresented members of our neighborhoods in order to advocate for equity and belonging for all.

This year, we hired an Operations Manager to help us expand our reach and continue developing programs and curriculum to meet even more needs. We have big plans brewing for the upcoming year, including: 

1. A micro-grant program

2. Cultural Exchange opportunities

3. Training events and curriculum for businesses and individuals
