Help change the lives of our students.

The vision and mission of the Alexandria Literacy Project, Inc. is to carry out charitable and educational activities in connection with enhancing the community’s capacity to meet the literacy and numeracy needs of its people, and to promote the cooperative efforts of concerned people in the greater Alexandria area.

One story I'll share is about one of our students that had been trying to get a job and had been unsuccessful. One of our tutors worked with her to improve her English language skills as well as doing many mock interviews. These mock interviews helped her tremendously and she acquired a job at a business in town. She said that the help she received from her tutor made the difference between getting and not getting the position. She is very happy with the position she is in and that is a joy to see.
