Honoring the resiliency and strength of our communities. We center traditional values in all aspects of our work.

For over 30 years, American Indian Community Housing Organization has been on the forefront of honoring the resiliency and centering the values of community members throughout all aspects of the organization and work in the community. AICHO built a domestic violence emergency shelter called Dabinoo’gan (1999), Gimaajii Mino Bimaadizimin, which is 29 units of permanent supportive housing (2012), Indigenous First, which is a social enterprise, and additional innovative programming connected health, traditional foods, and supporting small businesses. AICHO is invested in restoring community health and well-being through traditional approaches for all ages.
