We are an all volunteer non-profit organization that rescues abused, neglected and abandoned Siberian Huskies that relies on your donations.

Adopt A Husky, Inc. (AAHI) was founded in 1998 by a small group of volunteers, including Lois Leonard, who were dedicated to finding loving homes for homeless Siberian Huskies.  The mission of AAHI is to provide a second chance for stray, abandoned, abused, or otherwise homeless Siberian Huskies by finding suitable, permanent, loving adoptive homes.

Adopt A Husky is comprised entirely of volunteers and does not have a shelter facility.  Instead, all of the dogs are cared for in foster homes until their forever home is found. All dogs receive veterinary care, socialization and lots of love!

Sometimes we get in a dog that requires special or long-term care. A dog might have a medical condition that means a lifetime of expensive vet bills, or might be deemed unadoptable for another reason, through no fault of their own.  Adopt a Husky makes a lifelong commitment to these special dogs and they are placed in our sanctuary program. These dogs will not be placed through adoption, but rather stay in the loving care of their fosters' homes for the rest of their lives.

AAHI operates in Wisconsin and Illinois.  AAHI takes in dogs from shelters in the Midwest and always has a waiting list of dogs whom are in shelters awaiting rescue.

Since 1998, AAHI has saved over 2,200 Siberian Huskies!

Your support makes it possible.

Thank you.

Your help saved Kolo and gave him time to find his forever family.
