Ace in the City

You Belong.

Ace in the City is a community development organization investing in our South Minneapolis neighborhoods (and beyond!) since 2009. 

We are committed to the good and needed work of placemaking—

of reimagining and repurposing space in our neighborhoods 

and how we inhabit them for the flourishing of us all.

The Center of Belonging, our inaugural project, was met with immeasurable positivity, excitement and warmth.  This momentum, multiplied by an abundance of unused space and endless ways to creative and innovate within them, has led Ace in the City to shift its work from direct programming to placemaking. We work with churches of all shapes and sizes as they dare to dream in big and bold ways, discerning next steps about how their physical assets might be reactivated in more missional and sustainable ways. 

Our goal is to raise $2,500 on Give to the Max Day. Every dollar from this year's Give to the Max will support the work of Flourish Food Market, a food shelf serving 40+ families every week with fresh and healthy food options.

Empty space serves no one well. 

Help us bring life, energy and purpose out of its void 

as we look to cultivate belonging in deeper, bolder, more beautiful ways!
